Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki's career started in 2001, when she was working for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. From 2005 to 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki was named as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. 20 years ago, she was employed by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30, 2014. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of 2015.
